Albalo is a Stockholm-based concept house founded by two sisters who are as different as can be, yet always standing side by side. At its core, Albalo represents that bond: a sense of belonging that can only exist when there is space for everyone to be exactly who they are. We believe that everyone, children and adults, have the chance to experience a sense of belonging when we are free to live out the uniqueness of ourselves in community with others.

Albalo operates as a concept house, viewing childrenswear as part of a larger world, one where durability, self-expression and everyday play shape every design. What began as childrenswear has evolved into something more deliberate. Rather than designing for picture-perfect moments, Albalo designs for real childhood: movement, spills, imagination, tantrums and play. Imperfection is not edited out of the story, it is embraced as part of it.

Working exclusively with leftover fabrics, Albalo creates elevated tracksuits released through small, intentional drops. There are no traditional seasons and no overproduction. Each garment is designed to last, not only physically but emotionally, built to withstand playground collisions and the unpredictable rhythm of childhood.

At the center of Albalo stands Maryam Ghavidel, a multidisciplinary creative whose career spans fashion, music and visual storytelling. Her background includes years writing for international publications such as Vogue Italia, where she developed a strong understanding of narrative and cultural positioning. A defining moment came when her mentor, Virgil Abloh, encouraged her to create something of her own, something that reflected her perspective rather than fitting into someone else’s framework. That encouragement eventually became Albalo.

Maryam’s own story is quietly woven into the foundation of the brand. Growing up Persian in Sweden often meant existing between worlds. That experience of navigating identity, culture and belonging shaped Albalo’s philosophy: creating a universe where no child feels they must change to belong. Here, individuality is not corrected or softened, it is protected.

In a market often defined by muted palettes and curated minimalism, Albalo offers something different: controlled chaos. It challenges aesthetic expectations placed on childhood and refuses to reduce children to decorative subjects. Albalo is more than clothing. It is a study of childhood as it truly is — emotional, expressive, messy and alive.

Made for the modern family, Albalo is for those who value quality, comfort and design while allowing children to remain fully themselves. Sometimes all a child needs to meet the magic of a new day is a soft Albalo set and a warm world to explore.

Albalo hopes to be part of that journey.
